Blown rapeseed oil is manufactured under thermally controlled conditions in the presence of air to give products with increased viscosities, specific gravities and reactivities. A wide range of viscosities is available. Blown rapeseed oil is classed as a non-drying oil and has a variety of applications in lubricants, drilling mud additives, printing inks, mastics and sealants, paper manufacture, polyurethane systems and plasticisers.
