Linseed stand oil is a heat polymerised oil and is available in a number of different viscosities. Linseed stand oil has good pigment wetting properties, low acidity and a pale colour which make it ideal for use in general paints. Other applications of linseed stand oils include varnishes, aluminium paints, alkyd and synthetic resins. High viscosity polymerised linseed oil can be used as an additive in heat set printing inks. Linseed stand oil can replace or partially replace refined oils as a starting material in varnish production, where it will help reduce production times. It is also used in the manufacture of traditional wood and floor sealing varnishes, and in enamels as well as house paints to modify flow, improve gloss and improve durability. Higher viscosity linseed stand oil is used in the production of flat paints and primers. All grades of Seatons linseed stand oil impart excellent flexibility, performance and durability to the final product.
